One Shot
April 24, 2008I know, it’s not snowboarding, but we also love music (and music videos). The other day a particular video caught my eye, and sent me on a spree. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Liam Finn, the new king of the one shot music video:
You all know Feist loves ‘em:
A really nice one from Wintersleep (congrats on the juno boys!… ok you too Feist):
One I have always loved from Iron and Wine. What a great song. I believe Sam Beam directs his own videos… multitalented:
Weakerthans did one too… not as cool… maybe cuz i dread those freakin’ yellow and orange busses:
Weezer, of course:
The Chilis too! I never realized how short Frusciante was… cool… and what a voice:
Thank you Orson Welles… thank you Mr. Vargas. If you haven’t seen “Touch of Evil”, check it out… it’s at least worth a good laugh.

Fun in the Fog.
February 19, 2008Ok, so it’s been a while since we posted a video. Last week we had a down day, with lots of friends around, so we decided to shoot a web vid in the Whistler park. Special thanks to Joe Bariesheff for his beautiful voice, and Zane Baines, for his magical ender powers (and super cool name).
You may have noticed that Jon Versteeg just took over the last blog post. Apparently my captions are “lame”. Either way I think he did a pretty good job, how ’bout you? I think he will be doin’ a lot more posts, thanks Jon. Oooooh and guess what? He just got his brand new Nomis outerwear! Now he can stomp off of powder jumps! Look out for some backcountry bangers from Jon… when the teaser drops first week of March!!!

Class Five at COC
January 21, 2008Here’s a cool little edit from the summer. James Friedrich, Kurtis Rothecker, Jon Pullar and I test out some decks at the Camp of Champions. Probably the biggest (and nicest) park us prairie boys have ever seen. Stop by Class Five Snowboards to check out the Electro Labs. I think they are almost sold out, so if you’re interested act fast. The funnest deck I’ve ever ridden, and the graphics are a hot ass collaboration from Justin Swedberg and John Antoski. Thanks to friends Connor Copithorn and Aaron Maksymec for the footy. Peace.

Silver Star Rail Jam (dec 29/07)
January 15, 2008While back home there was rail jam at our old local hill, Silver Star. Good crowd, good set up, good friends.

can-can
January 15, 2008
So we went back home to Vernon B.C for the holidays, and it was a lot of fun for sure. In between filming, Matt Mcanally and Colton Showers hit a garbage can bonk at a local school field. All in all between the ghetto shoes, ghetto shades, and ghetto van, we came up with a lil vid. Hope you like.

Happy (Belated) Holidays!
January 13, 2008
This was sent to some of our families for the holidays, so we thought we would share it with you. If you watch the vids on this site you may have already seen some of the shots… but some are new. Here’s hoping you all had a great holiday!

Logan’s Lot
January 13, 2008
We found a cool little bomb drop in a parking lot, and Logan owned it. Heres some footy of the man with robot legs.

Another Opening Day Video
January 13, 2008
So we went back to Blackcomb, where they have this thing called the Black Park, which has some sizeable jumps in it. I guess you could say they are black diamond sized jumps. It was a really nice day, and we had a good time. Jon Versteeg is kind of weird, but he is a good whistler, so we will leave him alone.

Opening Day Vid
January 13, 2008
So a while back we brought a camera to Blackcomb, and it happened to be opening day. Someone told me the date on the video was wrong but that is beside the point. What isn’t beside the point is that Trevor Dery is a very stylish man, but wreckless moves like landing on the camera earnt him a busted collar bone. Get well soon Trev we love ya.
